What I Do

I’m a handyman in Ross-on-Wye (for the algorithms).

In the real world, a friendly human, helping people get those impossible little jobs sorted.

The ones that hang around, get in the way, or feel too small for a tradesperson, but make a big difference when done.

From the DIY you don’t have the tools, time, or confidence for, to everyday repairs, improvements and tech help, I’m here to support the things that keep homes and small businesses running smoothly.

I can work alongside you as a helper, or take on clearly defined tasks independently – from ideas and design through to completion.

How I Work

Every job starts with understanding your goal, the context, and the most sensible way forward.

I think things through. Costs, options, constraints, materials, and timing and choose an approach that’s practical, proportionate, and right for now.

I’m often hands-on, so I can’t always answer the phone straight away. If there’s no answer, please use the self-serve booking system to book a call-back or visit – it helps fit around your diary and lets me give your enquiry my full attention.

Creative, Technical, Caring & Reliable.

30 years in IT and a lifelong curiosity for how things work.

Along the way I’ve restored a classic campervan, built our extension, and renovated our 200-year-old home.

I bring that mix of technical know-how, practical craft, and care for quality to every job I take on.

We’re local, you’ll often find me out and about walking around Ross-on-Wye with Pablo & Coco.

Fixtures & Fittings

When something drips, bangs, flickers or refuses to behave, I can help.

I deal with the small but important plumbing and electrical jobs that people struggle with but don’t need a full tradesperson for.

Clean, safe, tidy and thoughtful.

Examples:

  • Dripping taps and leaking traps

  • Resealing sinks, baths or showers

  • Toilet seat fixes

  • Smart TRVs and Radiators

  • Replacing tap cartridges

  • Replacing light fittings

  • Swapping switches or sockets

  • Fixing extractor fans

  • Installing smart bulbs or sensors

Fixing, fitting, adjusting and improving the things you live with every day.

The little jobs that transform how a home feels fixing things that make life easier, and improving spaces with care and precision. No fuss, no mess, just practical help.

  • Fixing cupboard hinges and drawers

  • Securing rails, hooks and brackets
  • Basic outdoor repairs
C

Vehicles & Everyday Help

Simple motoring tasks and practical support when you need a hand.

Not everything needs a garage or a full mechanic. I help with simple, safe vehicle tasks and everyday practical jobs that make life a bit easier – especially when you just need another pair of capable hands.

Examples:

  • Replacing wiper blades
  • Headlight, brake, indicator bulbs
  • Replacing fuses
  • Upgrade/replace headunits and speakers

Technology, Office & Business

Friendly, practical tech help without the jargon or stress.

With 30 years in IT, I offer calm, human support for home workers, small businesses and anyone who just needs their technology to behave. From Wi-Fi issues to booking, tills & payments.

I bring clarity and cost effective solutions.

Examples:

  • Fixing Wi-Fi & printer issues

  • Consolidation and archive solutions
C

Making & Projects

Alongside 30 years in IT, I’ve restored a classic campervan, built our extension and renovated a 200-year-old home.

When the job needs more time, care or craft, and the fit feels right, I’m happy to help with small structures, timber work and creative or traditional projects.

Examples:

  • Custom cupboards or storage solutions
  • Timber repairs or small structures
  • Lime plaster patching & breathable building repairs
  • Room refreshes & practical improvements
  • Small office or business setups
  • Simple website or design projects
  • Damp or leak investigation / problem-solving
C

Circular & Sustainable

Older buildings need a different mindset.

I work with materials that suit the way traditional buildings were designed to behave – breathable, repairable, and kind to both people and the planet.

Where appropriate, I apply circular and sustainable principles to reduce waste, improve comfort, and avoid creating future problems.

Examples:

  • Traditional & period building advice and work

  • Material compatibility in solid-wall homes

  • Timber repairs and small design solutions

  • Breathable materials: lime, cork, sheep’s wool

  • Retrofit-led comfort and energy improvements

  • Avoiding moisture-trapping modern fixes

  • Retrofit and sustainable construction training

  • Introduction to Lime & Lime Plastering (Ty-Mawr)

  • Ongoing sustainable learning via NMITE
